I am tearing my hair out at this one...:

EVERY TIME I start up my PC, the registry checker tells me there is a problem with the registry, and decides to restore itself, and in doing so it reboots, thus taking twice as long as normal to start my computer.

This happens every time I boot up my machine, and I really don't know what to do about it. It tells me that it's restoring a good registry, but obviously it's not helping much, as I'm back to square-one when I boot up my PC next time round.

I am running the second edition of Windows 98.

Will I need to fiddle about with the registry editor or is there a simple solution to this problem?

Please help!

Thanks, Chris.
