Is it possible to see how many stations are connected, but are not currently logged on. I am using CM 2.x

Thanks

I am not too sure on this as I don't have access to a terminal/PBX, but from memory I think you can:
list station status xxxx

use F5 to see the options of list status. I am fairly certain there is something there that will help you.

Science is the rehab of the masses.

If you are using ASA run the command "Display capacity". You should then see a list of system limits etc. look under "Voice Terminals" and you should see stations with/without ports (p8).

TykeUK,

Thanks for that,

It looks to be higher than I was expecting.

With Port I take it are all of the ip phones which have station numbers logged on.

Without port's are the phones which have been issued an IP address but are not logged on, would this include alogs? or anything else?

It's just showing that we have 645 phones which are not currently logged on, which seems fairly high

With port will be all stations (IP, anal, dig) etc that have an assigned port wether it be a hard wired port or IP port.
Without port are more then likely digital and analogue's that have no port assigned (x).

You can also run the command "list station" and export this data to an excel file for cross checking.

as tykeuk mentioned you can run

list station -- will report all extensions
list station port x -- will report all digital, analogue extension that don't have a port assigned
list registered-ip-station --- will report all ip station (with their ip addres and the gatekeeper where they are registered).

what I usually do is run a list station, export it to excel and first check all with port X.
then I run a list registered and cross reference it with the list of ip phones to check with ip phones are not logged.

another think you can do is run a display errors, all those extensions with 513/1793 (not sure this last one) are extensions that although are configured and have a port assigned the phone is not connected to the port.

finally always run a status station XXXXX to check if a phone is disconnected, or in service.

good luck
richard...
