Hi,

I have an application (Client/Server) that runs in Windows NT: NT Server in
the Server and NT Workstation in the Clients.

The MTS server is in the Server and all the components are made in Visual
C++.
The GUI is in all the Clients and is made in VB. So every time that I launch
a
new version, I have to go to all the Clients (only 200...) and run the
packages mapping the server.

Is there any way I can run the packages remotly, from the server or another
machine ?

Thanks for all the help you can give me,

Bruno Loureiro :)

When you say mapp the packages
Do you mean that you have to create a Mapped drive like F: which is pointing to a server.
\\Servername\sharename

Can you modify your VB GUI to look at the \\Servername\sharename\path
instead of F:\path

Hi Doug,

My application has tha MTS components referenced in the VB project. They don't get registered in the Setup, but are referenced by the GUI.

After (or before, don´t mater the order) the Setup program, I map the Server that has the MTS and run the packages. All the Dll's in does packages get registered in the clients, at "C:\Program Files\Remote Applications" directory.

My original question was: can I do this by another process, that I don't have to go to all clients and map the server ?
Can I register the packages remotly ? Or is there some change in VB code that I may do, so I don't have to register tha packages in the client (maybe use CreateObject instead of the New operator) ?

Thanks,

Bruno Loureiro.
