Hi, I have about 100 XP machines that were cloned without sysprep. I know there are utilities to change a machines sid manually on an individual basis but is there an easy way to do all of these machines via script, group policy or another 3rd party utility? Thanks.

I maybe missing something, but if the machines were cloned without sysprep, I am assuming they all have the same computer name. Since you will need to change the computer name anyway, this will generate a new SID. For you to be able to change all machines sids via script the machines will need to be networked and have unique NetBIOS names (computer names) whether they are in AD or in a Workgroup.

All the machines when cloned are in a workgroup. They have then had their names changed and been added to the domain. Everything is working OK at the moment but I would like to avoid any potential problems down the track.
