Hey all,

One of my user's had a problem printing from Outlook, etc. I looked into the problem and found solutions dealing with importing some registry items. Afterwards when trying to open the regedit I get this error:

"regedit.exe - Entry Point Not Found "The procedure entry point PrintDlgExW could not be located in the dynamic link library comdlg32.dll"

I do not know what to do from here... HELP!!!!

The file comdlg32.dll should be located in windows\system32 folder. Also depending on the Service pack level could show up in another folder.

Maybe the DLL file became corrupt. Maybe you can reapply the service pack also. What service pack are you running? Another thing that you could try is regsvr32 the DLL file.

First things first, start with a good virus scan. I've had it a few times that viruses prevented regedit from running. You can also fix your outlook problem using regedt32.exe instead of regedit possibly.

This problem may be caused by a corrupt or old version of comdlg32.dll in the %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32 directory.

Replace the correct version from a similar problem free machine or run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
