Hi All

I have 2 questions

1, Does anybody know if the attached link, requires a certain Cisco IOS to be installed to allow the Cisco issue 176 options to IP Phones. In this case we have no local DHCP servers, and do not wish to trunk the DHCP requests and offers via the WAN. Using the Cisco router for option 176 would make sense as there is one at every site.

2, We have the above sites where the phones 80+ x 20 locations, have all been programmed statically due the above and existing router not being able to serve 176. The client now wishes to change the IP ranges at all sites, and we want to change to DHCP at the same time. Do you know of anyway to use the 46XXSettings.scr to tell the phones to default the IP Address programmed from static IP Address to use DHCP, otherwise we need to go to every phone and enter HOLDreset to default the IP Settings, which will be a real pain with the amount of phones and sites in question.

I have setup DHCP scopes on ASA and Pixes and the scope options have worked fine with them. I wouldn't think it would take a certain software load since scope options aren't anything new and cisco phones need them also.

Not seeing anywhere that you can change from static to DHCP on any of the config files.

In the new 46xxSetting.txt you can put for the 96xx series a VLAN ID.
I have tried this with a NEC 2000IPS with more sites.
We also used Cisco Routers setup as DHCP, we used ONE tftp server but we used different txt files and diferent.
Like so;

site1; 46xxSettingsSite1.txt
site2; 46xxSettingsSite2.txt
site3; 46xxSettingsSite3.txt
site1; ......and so on

This is just for info to you all.
