I have a form with several option groups. If a user selects an option, without selecting the limiting criteria (in a related combo box), it displays a message box instructing the user to limit the criteria.

I'm getting stuck on how to clear the radio button from the option button (since clicking it runs the report).

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hallo,

The usual way to prevent the user proceeding before all the required fields are completed is to disable the 'Go' button until all the required data is there.

The option group has a value, so probably setting it to Null may clear all it's radio buttons.

If you want any more help then please give more specifics on the controls you are using.

you can put your front end validation in the record's before_update event and then cancel the event if the validation fails
