Refresh errors on forum

I made my own forum and it works, but it has its little quirks. One problem I am having is that I am running GET statements to pass user info and topic titles etc. When people hit the back button it asks to refresh the information, and sometimes that will make a double post. I know I can make an access list that denies more than one post in a certain time, but that is annoying. Is there a way to get around the refresh problem????

After a successfull insertion of user post in database, take the user to a new page(showing 'Thank you for posting etc..') using header() function.

Yea, that is nice and all, but I am talking about just having the annoyance of asking to refresh the page. Like I said there are ways around the double posting, I just don't like that white screen, haha.
