Referrer Log

I would like to output a log file that contains the http referrer and possibly a few other pieces of info such as browser type and current time.

Any suggestions? Would Perl be a good choice?

If perl is already on your system I would see no reason not to use it for such a task.

Using the %ENV hash you could have access to the things you described above.
