Does somebody know if I compile a program for Autocad-2000 in VB6 it also will work for Autocad 2002 or 2004?

(I catched a rumour that the reference to the Autocad library should be different.(?)

Thanks in advance!
Paul

If you are just using the Autocad Type Library, I believe 2000, 2000i & 2002 are the same Application.15. I know for sure 2004 is Application.16. However, if you are using other vertical applications with 2000, 2000i or 2002 and addins such as CAO - you may run into version conflicts - CAO was updated in every release I believe.

You can use OLEView that gets installed with Visual Studio to look at the ProgID of the application on your machine.

Good Luck,

Scott
