Redundant Power Supplies

Recently the company I work for bought a new server case, with redundant power supplies. However, the only thing this rig seems to power "redundantly" appears to be the motherboard, with simple Y cable arrangement. My concern is that if the powersupply which powers the hard drives fails, the CPU will still be powered but the disks won't. Is there such a thing as a hard distribution box/rail into which multiple power supplies can be plugged and which in turn can have the disks/motherboard/etc., plugged into it?

The only redundant PSUs I've used consist of one large power supply case with just one complete set of leads supplying motherboard, drives, etc. These PSU cases accept two identical slide-in power supply units side by side. There are no Y-cable arrangements. Power is supplied to ALL components down ALL cables.
