Is there any possibility to redirect the contents of My Documents to a shared folder (located on a Windows 2000 Server) into Windows NT 4.0 workstation?

Best regards,
Eugen

Are you running Windows2k domain? If so you can use a GPO to redirect all of your users My Document where ever you like.

You are right, but GPO didn't work with NT 4.0 workstation… Instead of GPO I can use Policy Editor, but it can’t manage the location of My Documents folder. I think that a solution would be to use Roaming Profile, but I don’t know how to create and use it. Do you think that you can help me with this?

Sure,
You should be using the System application in the Control Panel to create and move (copy) these profiles to the profile server, otherwise they may not work fully or correctly. You need to log on as the user, and create the profile, then log on as the Administrator to move the profile to the central server. Move the profile to a shared folder. Then open active Directory User and Computer, select the user you wold like to add a roaming profile, then select the profile tab and type in the UNC path of the shared forled that has the users profile. I like to add a mapped drive at this time by adding \\server\share\%username% this will add a folder with the users login name. You can assign any drive letter you like.

Thank you very much for your advice. It works, but seems that it update the profile (including document’s folder) only on logon/logoff. This is normally?

Yes thats normal. It should be fairly fast doing the update. You can shut that feature off by switching offline folder sync off.
