Redirecting backup to NW Drive set

@ present I am suffering i/o errors due to possible tape incompatibility. I would like to setup a raid across the network to store backups. I cannot work out how to setup this device so I can detect it as a media set. Every time I attempt to create this media set with this device all I get access to is the tape drive attached to the ws/server.

Help files are not helping any suggestions? many thanks

What you trying to do is not going to work. The backup drive has to be physically attached to the backup server.
Maybe there is another software that can do this. Have a look at the Veritas website, ecspecially about Netbackup.
I think that Netbackup can do what you like it to do.
