I am a very frustrated Dreamweaver 3 new user. Apparently, I do not understand the basics of site organization. I began my site by making folders for each page. Within those folders are the pages, as well as a folder for each one's images. When I preview these pages in my browser they first appear fine but as soon as I start trying the links the images on the other pages appear as red x's, or the pages won't load. Is it bad to have such organization? I've also checked for any broken links using DW's check links feature and there are none. Please help me to understand root folders, and a good basic way to organize a site. Should you only have one images folder within your root along with your pages? I hope I'm being clear and that someone can help me. I've started over twice now and I'm about to give up.

your links...are they set up as full address (http: or are just using the relative address (.../folder/page)?

Is there is any way you can upload the site and give me the link I can take a look at it and try to discover your problem.

In actuality...the organization is good and should not cause a problem as long as your links are good. You said it is not showing any broken links which is strange.

I would like to take a look at it and maybe I can help you. I think you are on the right track and it is probably something very small causing your problem.

Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)

Thanks for responding! Unfortunately I don't have a server yet to upload my site....still in the design and testing phase. Anyways, I checked my links and they are not set up as full addresses, they are relative. Do you think that's my problem? I also noticed that in the define sites menu I hadn't specified my URL. After I specify that, should I go back to my links and retype them using http: Also, when you're placing an image, or making a link, in the browse window you can specify if you want it to be Document relative or Site Root relative. Which one should I use? The default? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
