One of the guys here at my office decided to "CLEAN HIS HARDDRIVE" of info he thought he didn't need. Well in the process he erradicated his explorer.exe and his desktop dissappeared. The info. should be in his recycle bin only problem is I don't know how to open it without using the desktop. Anyone know how to open the recycle bin?

Hi,

The recycle bin stores its files in the following location:

If the disk is in FAT32 format:

C:\RECYCLED

If the disk is in NTFS format:

C:\RECYCLER

You should be able to cd in there from the command prompt.

Note that there will be one folder under each directory for each user's separate recycle bin if the machine has multiple local user accounts.
