Outlook 2003. Is there any way to make the reminders in a task be recurring as well?

I want it to remind me every friday at 4pm. I'd rather do it here than clutter my calendar.

Any help appreciated.

You can't make the reminder for a single task recurring per se, but you could cheat. More later.

You can make recurring tasks. Simply click the big "Recurrence" button in the tool bar of a new task.

To cheat, if you set a task due date way out in the future, and set the reminder appropriately, you could simply snooze the task for a week when the reminder comes up. This is imprefect however, as you will be reminded every time you start Outlook, which will through the timing off.

Or you could create another calendar to hold a recurring appointment, and simply never look at that calendar.

Or you could use categories and views to make it essentially invisible in your main calendar.

Interesting. Those are good workarounds. Too bad a simple function like a recurring task reminder can't be built in.

FWIW, you will be please to know that you can set reminders for recurring tasks in OL2007.

good to know, we'll be switching over soon as well. Took like a good 45 min. to install the beta..

Have you had any problems with the O2007conv.exe convert file not working at intermittent times with office 2003?

We have experienced no problems with converting Word or Excel 2007 files using the Office 2007 converters in Word/Excel 2003.

But that said, our documetns and spreadsheets tend to be fairly simple and uncomplex. We do have create some fairly long propsals that may cover 150 - 200 pages, but we use strict styles, and numbering is kept very simple. We learnt many moons ago that numbering causes most problems in Word so we limit outlines to just 4 levels. Although this means structuring documents to suit Word (tail wagging the dog syndrome), but it is suprisingly easy to adhere to the 4 levels using a bit of thought. I realise that this is often impossible for the legal profession though.

Spreadsheets created by the accounts are large but really don't have that many formulae compared to others I have seen.
