Cannot Log On to Recovery Console After Running Sysprep in Windows XP

These will lead you into data recovery options.

You could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.

How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP (Q315341)

Cell121, I had the same password into console problem. I downloaded a program which allowed me to reset the password. I will mail it to you if you post your address.

Please ignore (for now). Was using old Driver Floppy. Found newer 2.34

Sorry

Cell121,
When recovery consol asks for your password just press enter. When you install XP it asks you for an admin password, generally I have found people leave this blank and then install the users while in the O/S.

If you do get into the recovery console then take a look at this will allow you to restore your PC to a point before you made the changes.
