Hi

I am having problems restoring the MASTER. I have followed the manual recommendations of starting in SINGLE USER MODE. The CM prompt initializes, and then stops running before the the command is complete.

I would really appreciate help on this. Much appreciated.

I got same problem after run sqlservr.exe -m in DOS

Are you sure SQL Server has stopped? The DOS prompt may show no activity because nothing is happening on SQL Server at the moment. That does not mean SQL is not running. You'll need to open a GUI tool to proceed with the restore.

Have you tried to open Query Analyzer and connect to the server? Terry
