Recovering Formated HDD 1

I have a harddisk, which was formated by mistake using a unattended.txt Bootable CD.

I tried to use Ontrack Easy Recovery 6.04 to recover File structure but program seem to go to "endless loop" when rebuilting tree. and this will last for 48 hours before the program hung.

Does any1 has any idea how i should proceed from here?

Take it to a professional if the data is worth more than $200 as that is what it would cost for them to TRY to get it back.

Slave the drive to anoher pc and try running GetDataBack.

Thanks ppl, The data does worth more than $200 but i do not want to spend that kind of money cos i am the one to pop in a unattended.txt disk into drive by mistake, I have ontrack easy recovery Proferssional. supposing to be one of the best there is. anyway i will give Getdataback a try.

Depending on what the unattended.txt Bootable CD did you may want to try an unformat program. Thankfully I have not had to try this but it couldn't hurt at this point.

the unformat did the trick.

I managed to recover the user data without error. the user was so relived as so am i...
