I am attempting to recover mail items from a pst file. I've reviewed several threads in this forum for help, and have tried many good suggestions to no avail.
Here are the particulars:
- The user's mailbox was deleted from the production Exchange 5.5 server, but I have an complete offline recovery server. I restored the directory and store and the PST file from the same backup tape to the recovery server, so all the file dates are concurrent. I have no trouble opening the user's server mailbox, but it is empty, as all mail was transferred to the pst on his laptop.
- The file size of the recovered 'user.pst' is 112 MB, but when I open it in Outlook all folders show "There are no items to show in this view". I've checked filters and view settings. When I get properties for the pst file the "folder size" lists all folders and subfolders as '0 kb'.
- I ran scanpst.exe and it found no errors.
Any further advice will be Greatly Appreciated!
