My Windows XP became damaged and I could not restore it so, on a new disk I started a fresh XP. The old disk still works and contains files but is not bootable. I need to copy the the MS Office settings from the old disk to the new disk.
Is there a single source I can go to that lists file names (and locations?) of MS Office settings to restore my old settings?
thanks

They would mostly be under Documents and Settings/"User ID"/Application Data/Microsoft

At least that's what I think you are asking.

Yes, that's what I'm looking for....
Once I'm in that folder, where are the setting (for example) my old Word Tool Bar or Excel default setting?
Thanks

Weel....normal.dot for for Word

but you have to go find "filename".xlb for Excel

If you were using other customized templates, they would be somewhere close by as well.
