Hey Guys
This is bugging the hell out of me if anyone can help would be great.
What I am trying to achieve is as follows:

Incoming call to a DDI routed to destination VM:Module
I need to record the call but the call has only an incoming leg, no outbound, nor does it ring to an extension.
So I have it set as Voice Question in the Module. Play 1 second then record for up to 3600 seconds. Send to mailbox xxx when complete.
I also need to record the call to the VRL storage.

I set the recording on the DDI, which seems to work in terms of recording the call, with a lot of messing around, but the problem is that vmpro stops recording (in voice question) and moves to the mailbox greeting after 30 seconds or so. I believe it to be a silence detection kicking in, but it's a linux install so not sure where to set that. I don't know why it won't just record for 3600 seconds as I have set.

Max message is 3600, max record is 3600. Also tried it without destination mailbox, and with but using leave-mail=VRL on that mailbox. Some of the settings seem to get me a few more seconds but never more than 2 minutes.

Maybe someone has a better way of doing this?

My wish would be to trigger the IPO to initiate a dial out and stay connected, but with just the outbound leg. I.e. inbound call triggers outbound call, inbound drops off, outbound remains connected. Only 1 port of voicemail, trunk, being used.

thanks in advance...
Dave

Hi Dave,

I would set the recording to VRL in Incoming Call Routing. No need to do the recording within the Voicemail module.

Need some help with IP Office? IP Office SIP trunk configuration: CLI based cale blocking: SCN fallback over PSTN:

Thanks for the reply Derfloh, I have tried with and without the VRL bit on VMPro. The problem is vmpro cuts off the call, for what I believe to be a silence detection, which baffles me. Voice question should be record for X seconds. maybe another 11.04 bug, hate this version!

R11 FP4 was a bad release in my opinion. Have you tried R11 FP4 SP1?

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
