Record Update 1

Is it possible to update a field within a record, appending to as opposed to overwriting what is currently there? I have a table that I would like to append to a comments field.

UPDATE yourTable
SET yourField = yourField & 'your appended comment here'
WHERE someCondition2IdentifyTheRow2Update
