Record Lock Default Settings

In reference to my post yesterday

thread702-348238 led to believe that changing the default record locking settings (Tools->Options->Advanced)to Edited Records only changes the default for forms created after the change, not all of the current forms also as I had previously assumed. Is there any place to enfore database-wide record locking instead of changing the settings form by form?
