I'm new to Exch 2k3, we've just started planning a migration from Exch 5.5 to 2k3. Right now we have 7 Exch 5.5 servers and are considering replacing them all with one or two 2k3 servers.
If you have two servers and one breaks down (hw failure), would it be possible to "reconnect" the information stores to the other server while the dead one is fixed? We are not contemplating a cluster as clusters normally just makes things complicated with more downtime.
If we opt for one single machine, is it possible to do online consistency checks in Exch 2k3?
