Recommended specs for SQL 2000

Can anyone advise me of the recommended specs for a SQL 2000 server? i.e. Operating system, recommended RAM, server specs and the minimum requirements for a desktop installation....

also, any recommendations for books on SQL 2000 for administration and also for development?
