My hosting company is unable to get the cfchart feature of CFMX 6 working and therefore I'm looking for a new host. Any recommendations? The cfchart feature must work. The pricing I was currently getting was this:

Hosting: Win2003/CFMX - $99/year
unlimited bandwidth - really not an issue for me not running a bbs or anything like that.
500mb storage
bunch of email, etc.

MS SQL DB - $25/year - 50mb

Thanks

frontserve.com only boasts CF 5...

Frontserve.com also does MX. I think their website just hasn't been updated. I know, I know thats bad marketing.

And it makes you wonder how they are with other issues that matter to the customer. If they're not worried about their website, why would they be worried about yours? :)

just food for thought.

LOL, actaully their very good when dealing with customers. I've used them for 3 years now for all my client's (and my own) website. In my three years I only had an issue 2x. One time they had a fire in their building which caused disruptions and the other was system update.

They don't have a phone number to call, however, their email support so great. I get what I need done from them in matter or minutes to hours.

But remember the quality of excellence is directly proportional the amount you pay. Frontserver is affordable to the everyday web developer, but if you own a company and can afford the massive hosting fees go with someone else.

crystaltech.com
crystaltech.com
crystaltech.com

I have never used another this good.

Great, thanks for the feedback.

r937, you've given me a few tips over the years so I'm leaning heavily toward you're recommendation. Do you work with/for them or use them?

Meh, they're ok, ya know?

Of the others I've used in the same price range-ish, they have the best options, fasted page loads, awsome management interface, and some of the best support I've seen from any company of any type.

I'm going to sign up with crystaltech, is there any referral credit/system so you can get credit?

i recomend r937.com reseller since rudy can't lol.

Ok, I'll tell'em you sent me.

btw, they put up a quick chart so I could see they know how to do it.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Oh my god, what a difference. Fantastic, I created the DSN, DB, Emails, SQL EM data upload, and the whole thing is going in 1 hour. Just waiting for the DNS to propogate. The hardware and bandwidth, both seem noticibly faster as well.

Thanks again Rudy.

crystaltech.com looks nice...

I've been planing around on viux.com.

Administration of reseller accounts is a slight pain in the ass but for $35 a month I get 2.5 gig of space for up to 5 websites. Less bandwidth then crystaltech though.

Not having access to cfdirectory is a pain but I've found ways around it.
