I've gone to B&N looking for a MS Access book that pretains to coding, and can't find a good one. Can any of you recommend a book of pure coding, examples of expression, etc.....??

Hi BubbaJean,

I would HIGHLY recommend Access 2000 Developers Handbook by Litwin, Getz, and Gilbert published by Sybex. Its a one stop shop for Access and comes with a lot of sample code and examples.

I have about 5 other books that i bought over time but none come close to the A2K Dev Handbook. I wish I had bought it first!

Hi BubbaJean,

I agree with nathan1967, Access 2000 Developers Handbook is very good.

You should also try the library as well, this way you don't have to spend any money

free is always good.... "so many events, so little time"

I would recommend O'Reillys Access Cookbook, it has clear instructions, and great code examples that work, and are easy to implement if you are a novice!

I can't tell you how many of their examples I have implemented.

Que books also have sample code and are excellent. Newposter

Along with the others, I also have Access 2000 Developers Handbook along with Access, Inside Out by Helen Feddema and Access 2002 Visual Basic for Applications by Evan Callahan.

I also have been using Access 2002 Visual Basic for Applications by Evan Callahan. It has been extremely valuable.

Happy New Year everyone!! Thanks for suggesting the Access 2000 book, at first, I bought volumn II by mistake, I then returned it and pick-up Volume I "desktop edition" and its every bit as helpful as you said it was. Anyone who works with Access should have this on their desk.. Thanks again.
