Please could anybody recognise this message, it occurs when running sql scripts or bcp.

Could not allocate new page for database tempdb. There are no more pages available in filegroup default. Space can be created by dropping objects, adding additional files, or allowing file growth. Please help? there is 3500 allocated for tempdb and natural growth.

You might still be filling up temp db..

Try running sp_space used..

- Also just how much space do you have on the drive for the tempdb and it's transaction log.

What happens if you give it more space...

Although tempdb lives with the os by default, you can shift it out to a raid drive. YOu do that using the alter database statement. Check BOL for full syntax.

Thank you for this, I have sorted out the problem. I have just allocated 5 GB more of temporary space. Thank you again.
