Recipient Update service

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help. Our recipient update service doesnt seem to be running properly. Although it creates no errors in the address book.

Basically we have 8 policys (lots of external domain names) with the default as the lowest. In one particaulr ou we have the users that still get updated from Lotus notes(still mid migration). They get a notes address on the connector as they get copied which is fine, but6 we then have another policy to add a different notes address - Which doesnt seem to work. If you create a new account in the OU that we are trying to update it just takes on the attritbutes of the default policy not anything that is before it, Has anyone come accross this before?

What is the structure of your organization? You have gnoats, and you're going to E2K, anything else? Do you have 5.5 in the org?

we have lotus notes and thats it internally, then mail sweeper and send mail on the way external.

When the RUS runs, do you see any errors in the app log? You might be missing the proxy address generation dll.

yeah think we are do you know where we can get the dll file from?

In fact, I can see I already told you that in you other post. For each address type, you need proxy address generation dll. Without it, the RUS can't generate the address to stamp.

thanks for your help/ the info, do you know where we can get the dll from and where are we supposed to register it to?

I believe it's Ntspxgen.dll. You should be able to find it on the exchange media. Copy it to the appropriate directory, then from the comand line, regsvr32 ntspxgen.dll. I don't recall if it requires a service restart or not.
