Hi,
I recently switched from Excel 2000 to Excel 2003. It seems like Automatic Recalculation is taking a lot longer in Excel 2003 than it used to do in Excel 2000 (for exactly the same workbook).
I opened a workbook (created in Excel 2000) in Excel 2003, waited untill the calculation was finished and then saved the workbook again. After re-opening this saved workbook in 2003, it still took a lot longer to recalculate than it did in Excel 2000. The option recalculation is set to "Automatic" by the way. This workbook took about 25 seconds to recalculate in 2000 and more than 1 minute in 2003.
Do you know why the recalculation takes such a long time in Excel 2003? Is there anything I can do to speed up recalculation?
Thanks,
Robert
