Hello

I am currently rebuilding a Sony Vaio Model Number PCG-6D5P with XP Pro Service Pack 2 after a hard drive crash.

The Client no longer has the driver disk that the machine came with.

I am unable to locate any drivers for this product on the sony websites or google and so i am in a real pickle !

The only sticker on the bottom of the machine is the XP Pro Serial number and a Black Sony Sticker stating that it is model PCG-6D5P, the laptop is only about 3 years old so not sure why I cannot find any drivers anywhere, XP has only picked up the basic ones still need LAN, Video, Wireless and all of the Sony Applications to make the function keys and monitor battery etc.

If any one can find a link to a site for the orginal CD that came with the the machine or driver location on the net that would be grand..

Cheers

Hmmm...could it be that you've mis-read the model number? Like a G for a 6 etc.

Install Belarc Advisor, Sandra, and any other detection utilities like to determine the components. My search results matched yours, no luck.
