Hi Guys,

Just looking for some advice please. I am working for a small company of 100 users or so. We currenltly have the following setup, WIN2k Domain controller which is also the file server, 2 Email Servers (5.5 on 2k), Blackberry Server, Backup Server and Admin Server. We have AD working partially.
Anyway i have been given the project of totally changing our domain name and starting over again so DNS, AD etc all works properly. Its going to be Win2k3 and Exchange 2K3, whats the best way of going about this, i have been working in this field for the last 2 years with someone else who was in charge but has recently left the company.. I was thinking to build the new domain controller first, and transfer users team by team..
Any help will be appreciated. if you need further info please ask.
Thanks in advance

You have the right plan. You can use ADMT to transfer users over little by little.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks, ADMT? guess thats some kind of Active Directory management tool?

Is WIN2K3 very different to WIN2k?

Thanks mate,

But my boss wants us to redo the whole AD again as he thinks its currently a mess and start using group policy etc. I think i better start reading up on it
