Hello,
We have a Pix 515e Cisco box - and have been using the VPN for quite a while with no problems. We have recently swapped some servers out - and so DNS/DHCP services have been moved to another server - so I had to edit the PIX config to look at these new servers. I also had to add some persistant routes on the new servers too since VPN users use the 192.168.100.x subnet as opposed to normal users who use 192.168.1.x.
Everything was working fine - and I made no more changes to the PIX - and people were logging on and using the system OK. And then - for some reason - users starting to get errors when trying to initially log onto the VPN. When asked for there username and password - the system was not accepting there credentials (username and password). After three attempts the system comes back with a Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding.
So we have gone from working fine to not working - but with no chances to the config.
Has anyone any ideas what this could be? Any pointers would be great.
Thanks
