Reading Text Data from the USB Port

I've got an app that I use MSComm32.ocx to read and send text data through the serial port to a Palm III device. I would like to update this to take advantage of the greater bandwidth of USB. Does anyone know if you can read the USB port with MSCOMM32.ocx or other contol...?

just guessing, but withthe way windows commicates with usb devices, my guess it MSCOMM32.ocx will notwork. MSCOMM32.ocx is meant to work with communications devices. I think windows with USB sees them as devices. if this is correct, then my guess is toknow the lobrary to work with. then you could delcare the functions in whatever.dll. maybe, the device manufacture provides info on this.
