Hi..
is there any function or procedure to resd directly from an excel sheet and insert into a table?

Hi. This is a common enough question that has been answered in several ways previously. Try a keyword search for excel in this forum and you'll see what I mean and hopefully get a few ideas. HTH.

The best way (in my opinion) is to use Oracle Object for Ole or OO4O. Alternatively you can use ODBC. There are other ways also.
