I have found a voicemail pro action for text to speech to say the caller id, do I need anything else to make this work? I want to create a Anec number for us, or is there an easier way to do this with the ip office and/or voicemail pro? Thanks

whats an anec number ?

You need a tect to speech license for this to work.

For better speech you will need your own text to speech engine or get the disks for the one that avaya supplies.

For speaking numbers there is no need for TTS.
Just put $CLI as a .wav file in a generic action and VM Pro will speak the number.
It's a default feature.

Ok, so you are saying use the generic action, and for the specific put $CLI in there and that is all? I am not sure what you meant by as a .wav file? Thanks

Create a generic action. In the field where you normally specify what .wav file to play as a prompt, put $CLI. I make these on all systems with any significant quantity of analog stations. I dial the shortcode and it tells me what extension I'm on.

As a matter of fact it can be any system variable if the value is numeric.

The difference from TTS is how the number is spoken.

For example 1234 will be said as "one two three four" rather than the TTS version "one thousand two hundred and thirty four".

However the former is perfect for scenarios like speaking phone numbers and doesn't cost a license of any kind.
