Re-naming licenced user of Ms office 1

This user would like me to re-name the licensed user of Ms Office.I am finding it dificult to modify the previous user name to the present user name.I've tried Regedit,i got to the preious user name in Regedit modified the name to it's present owners name but still when i open Ms Word program the machine still has the previous user name displayed whilst Ms Word opens.
I tried Re-installing the program plus entering the New licensed user name but that too didn't have any effect...
Could someone whose encountered this problem please help me out on this please.

Try changing it in Word: Tools > Options > User Information
