I need to be able to use Remote Desktop Connection to control a client which has three screens attached with different applications on each screen. When I log on I only get to see one screen (the default), however some time ago a (now Ex) colleague demonstrated that he could scroll horizontally across the three screens using a scroll bar at the bottom of his screen. This scroll bar is not shown on my PC. I have checked the help which is available from a button on the RDC login screen, but cannot find any clues there.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Regards

Michael

I don't have a clue but maybe this MSoft article may help:

It mentions Remote Desktop and OS versions and says:

Remote Desktop Connection supports high-resolution displays that can be spanned across multiple monitors. However, the total resolution on all monitors must be under 4096 x 2048 pixels. The monitors must have the same resolution. Additionally, the monitors must be aligned side-by-side

Hope this helps.

mscallisto,

Thanks for your reply. I will have a look at the support document and see if it helps.

The latest version of VNC will allow you to remote to a machine and scroll across all your monitors. I never noticed it before but I have two monitors on my home machine and when I remote to it via VNC I can scroll across to both monitors.

Cheers
Rob
