Hi

I have a problem with Remote Desktop Connection which I cannot find a solution to in any MS articles. I use RDC to access my home computer from work. If I leave my home computer logged in (any user) and then try to connect to RDC, I get the usual login screen from my remote (home) PC then usually (not always!) I get a blank screen showing my desktop background, no desktop icons or task bar. If, however, I leave my home computer logged out and waiting on login screen, connecting through RDC works fine every time.

I don't really want to have to log out of my home PC every time I may want to use RDC. Has any one got any suggestions how to solve this? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Start, Run, Services.msc

See if there are any NVIDIA helper services running on the remote computer. If so, stop them and disable them.

Hi

There's a NVIDIA Display Driver service running. That's not what you're talking about is it?

Thanks

Chris

Yes, that is the one. Stop it and set its startup type ot disabled.

Note - the service is not needed to fully utilize your NVIDIA display adapter. Disable it.

Ok, I'll give it a go - thanks for your help.
