RCPT TO error

I have some issues on sending e-mails. It takes really long time before the e-mails are sent. I've tried to do a manual send by using telnet and when i come to the RCPT TO:email@address.com command it stops there for 10-15 seconds before it continues.

Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this stop?

check AV - possibly LDAP lookup to AD?

Im using Symantec Mail Security 4.5.

Where do i check the LDAP lookup?

I tried to stop my Symantec services but still the same problem...
