I am having some troubles with RAS on Win2K server.
I am able to dialin from a Win95 pc and get authenticated, but after that, I can't see any Network Drives?

Really, I don't care to see the drives, but care about connecting to the Exchange Server to send/receive email.

If I was in the office and connected to the LAN, I have Outlook 2000 pointing the Exchange Server, which I call "Proliant1600". So, what I want to do is when I take a portable pc and dial up the RAS (Win2K server), I then want to click on the Outlook 2000 Icon and log right into the Exchange Server, just like if I was connected to the LAN. The only problem is, when I connect with RAS, and then try to ping the Proliant1600, I can't. How can I make this work?

Of course, I have the Exchange Server loaded on the Win2K server, and I have RAS on the Win2K server.

If I do connect to the Server thru DUN, what do I click on to see the network?

I can connect to server and stay online, but don't see anything. Can't ping the server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Nick

When you connect using DUN check you IP settings. Make sure the server is giving you a valid IP on your network. with Win2K DNS is also very important for resolving names on the network. If the RAS server is not the exchange server then you have to make sure that the RAS server allows iformation to be sent to the internal network.
