I am having a problem with Raptor 6.5. Every week or so, the server starts blocking everything that comes in or out. After a reboot the server responds normally for another week until it happens again. Does anyone know what this could be?

The first thing that you want to check is the log file. Is this NT or Solaris? What kind of disk space do you have? Is it getting eaten up by log files? Do you have any GSPs on the Fw? There could be many factors that could lead to this type of behavior from Raptor. The best way to figure out what the problem is is to review the logfile. Do a filter, look for any critical errors. Good luck.

It is running on an NT machine. The logs are large and I do have to move them every week. But, it has froze even if there is 1.5 GB free. One thing that I am looking at now is a folder called trace which is under the sg directory. It seems to be keeping a log of all incoming SMTP traffic and each occurance leaves a file of about 5k. This adds up and I have seen as many as 800 files in the directory. How can I stop this? I have been looking for the settings for this feature but so far have come up short. Thanks for your help!

There is a setting either in proxy services>smtpd>properties or withing your rule for smtp>services>included services>smtp>configure to enable/disable trace files. I believe that this will take care of your problem as far as the trace folder.

Did you ever get this issue figured out? I am having the same issue with my Velociraptor 1100.

I ended up re doing all of my rules. There appeared to be a problem between conflicting rules that caused a problem. After doing this, it stopped the problem.
