I have a windows XP pro machine with an isdn line and it keeps starting a dialup connection for no reason.
The main problem is when I try and print something, it will try and connect about 3 or 4 times and I have to cancel it. When it try's to connect, it has a small dial-up window instead of the larger box with all your details and different accounts in. It has only started doing this in the past week and I have been using XP for a few months now.

Can anyone help, Please!

Sometimes you can choose "fax" as a printer, which might cause your modem to try to send a document. Check that first.

Might be something that using System Restore could fix for you.

I am not printing to a fax and I am unable to do a system retore. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Try this. Open My Computer, click on Tools, and Folder Options. Go to the View tab, and uncheck the first option, "automatically search for network folders and printers". Restart. Does it still try to dial out?

I had the same problem. Took out msnexplorer and the problem went away.
