HAs anybody written code that would scramble and descramble data within an Access Table ? I have sensitive data like Names, Social Security Number, and Home Telephone Number in my database. I would like to be able to totally scramble the data within the Table while preserving the Structure and relationships. So the scrambling would be done at the Field level.

I would just encrypt the database and apply either database or group-level security to it. See the MS Access security white paper.

This answer totally misses the point. I don't want to encrypt the total database. I want to generate a database that reflects my actual database which consists of sensitive data. I want the scrambled database to maintain the structure of the original database but with non-sensitive data so that I can send the database to other people for review who should NOT have access to the data contained therein. For example some of my databases have telphone numbers, social security numbers, home addresses, telephone numbers, etc. that I want to be scrambled before I e*mail the database off to somebody else for review. The only way I know to do this at present is to take the ACCESS database, export it to Excel, scramble it by randomizing the alphanumeric data and then reimporting it back into ACCESS. This can be tedious. I was hoping somebody might have some VBA Functions that would generate RANDOM data for different types of ACCESS field data while preserving the structure of the existing ACCESS database and all the queries and Forms.
