I have Raid 1 cofigured over 2 drives. One of the drives has failed. I have the replacement drive. What steps do I take to recover from this.

Do I put the new drive in and does it auto rebuild's itself?
Thanks

Are you running software or hardware raid. If you are running software raid then you will need a Boot disk to make the computer start up. If you have hardware raid then all you need to do is boot and reconfigure the mirror.

Good Luck

I replaced the Failed drive. Rebuilt the drive. Created the drive. Formatted the drive. Now the raid is operational Again. It was a Hardware Raid.

Thanks for your help!!
