Raid set question

Hello,

I was setting up a raid system on a machinge at work to do mirroring. I am using two Seagate 180 gig scsi drives. How long is does the process of mirroring usually take? At the rate the machine was going it was doing about 1% an hour is that normal? Any help would be appreciated and if any more detail is needed please let me know thank you in advance.

I can't think of any setup that would take that long. You're not going to get 180GB drives mirrored in minutes, but 1%/hr is excessive. What kind of controller are you using or is this software (O/S) mirroring?
