I need to upgrade the firmware on one of my controllers (c3t5d0). The other
controller is c2t5d0 and has a higher firmware level than c3t5d0. Do both of them
need to be on thesame frimware level if I'm going to mirror them?

Both controllers are connected to a A1000.
The host is a V480 running Solaris 9.

Here is the output from raidutil -c blah -i:

# raidutil -c c3t5d0 -i
LUNs found on c3t5d0.

My philosophy is to only apply fixes if I have a system that is experiencing a problem. Or look over the Sun Alert notifications and see if any affect my servers and then make the changes.

Most fixes only affect a few companies who may have specific applications and enviornments. Applying many changes will make more changes than you want that may impact stability and availability.

And as I said before; SVM doesn't care about the firmware level on the a1000, so unless you are experiencing a problem then I wouldn't apply the firmware.

thank you to everyone with your suggestions. i really appreciate everyone's help.
