RAID array

I have a friend that has a server with 5 SCSI drives in it. We are unsure if the RAID is set up properly. I checked in Disk Management, but it does not give any information. Is there a simple place to check? Do I need to check in BIOS? If it makes any differnce this is a Dell Server, and running Small Business Server. Thanks.

I’m trying to figure out if it is possible to assign default values to a user account depending on which OU it get's placed into.

i.e. for instance if user, Ted Smith is created and placed in OU called EMC, ted smith and any other user that is in that OU or placed into the OU will inherit the company name EMC.

If it's a Dell Server, it might be a hardware raid (better than software raid). Check the Perc controller settings, you should have a program in your windows to monitor the Raid configuration.

in Disk Administrator do you see 5 individual drives or just 1 drive? That will at least tell you if you have RAID or not, otherwise ad akwong said, go into the PERC settings.

With a Dell, it is almost guaranteed to be Dell PERC raid controller. With a Perc, you do not use Windows disk manager to monitor or control the Raid array- you use either the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator utility (if it has been configured that way) or the Dell OpenManage Array Manager. Be cautious, since you have apparently never done this before. Read before you play. Changing Raid array settings can cause complete data loss.
