Hi,

I've just bought a new PC from Dell that has onboard graphics. I am now looking at adding a cheap Graphics card to give me some improvement when playing games although I don't want to spend too much money.
I am currently playing call of duty and this is OK with the onboard graphics, but think that even a cheap card will make a difference.

The card I've been looking at is the Radeon 9200 SE 128MB. I've seen this card for around £34. Does anybody know what these cards are like or can anybody reccomend a similar priced card that may give better performance than the 9200.

Thanks,
Matt

My old card was a radeon 9000 with 128mb ram

that allowed me to play even halo quite well...

but I'd recommend at least getting a 8x AGP card, if ur mobo can support it. They aren't that much more expensive but should give much better performance...

When you see "SE" on the end of an ATI video card designation it usually means half or some of the Video Processing Pipelines have been disabled, and that it is a product of reduced quality.

A 9200SE is junk that is barely better than integrated graphics. To compare different models of video cards, I suggest you go to Toms Hardware and look at the VGA charts that demonstrate how different video card models compare against each other:

Make sure that you actually have an AGP port before you buy a video card.
